This powerful image captures Fisher in one of her most memorable moments as Princess Leia Organa, the courageous Rebel leader who became one of the most enduring and beloved characters in cinematic history. A New Hope (1977) introduced Fisher to audiences worldwide and marked the beginning of an extraordinary legacy within the Star Wars universe.
Carrie Fisher (1956–2016) led a storied and often courageous life — not only as an actress and writer but also as an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness. Her brilliance, wit, and candor made her a singular figure in Hollywood. Her untimely passing in 2016 was deeply felt by fans around the world, but her influence continues through her unforgettable portrayal of Leia and her acclaimed body of work.
