An extraordinarily rare piece of entertainment history—signed by a comedy legend at his peak.

This 8x10 black-and-white photo captures John Belushi during a break while filming “The Blues Brothers” in Chicago, 1979–80. Dressed in full Blues Brothers attire, Belushi is seen standing in front of Chicago landmarks including The Earl of Old Town Café, in what would become one of the most iconic settings for the film and his career.

What makes this piece exceptional is the highly personal and fully inscribed autograph to Saul Kahan, the longtime publicist for director John Landis. It reads:

"Saul, This is where I lived, worked, and got busted. Chicago '79-'80"
— John Belushi

Belushi even marked the image himself with handwritten annotations:

• “Wells” (street name)

• “Home” (arrow to his building)

• “Bar” and “2nd City” (each labeled and pointed out)

This photo originally came directly from the estate of Saul Kahan and has been authenticated and encapsulated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS). It is part of the prestigious Steve Grad Autograph Collection.
