✍️ Content of the Letter

Dated May 14, 1988, Fraser writes in blue ink about her willingness to provide a signed Star Wars photo — but explains that she now charges £5 (five pounds) plus postage, because autograph dealers had been acquiring her signed photographs and reselling them for large sums of money. This candid commentary makes the letter not just an autograph, but also a snapshot of autograph collecting history in the 1980s.
