Carlton Fisk (b. 1948), nicknamed “Pudge”, is one of the most legendary catchers in baseball history. He spent over two decades behind the plate, first with the Boston Red Sox (1969–1980) and then with the Chicago White Sox (1981–1993). Fisk was an 11-time All-Star, 1972 AL Rookie of the Year, and set numerous catching records, including most games caught and home runs by a catcher at the time of his retirement.

Fisk is perhaps most famously remembered for his dramatic walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, where he waved the ball fair—an iconic moment in baseball lore. In 2000, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, cementing his place among the all-time greats.
